The U13s secured their first win of the season after beating Lotus sports in the Essex league.
The team started very well and after some great passing from shahed and Rahim, where shahed crossed a brilliant ball for Masum to score his 2nd of the season with a first time finish, after some poor defending from SOUL, Lotus were allowed to equalise, Sou took the lead again with Jahed scoring with a low shot, Foyaz scored his first of the season with a thumping penalty and added a second after a cracker from 30 yards. The team lead 4-1 at half time. The second half saw more good attacking play from SOUL, and shahed continued to miss good chances, and after an excellent run through the wing by Naseer, who crossed fro Shahed to find teh net with a neat volley, Naseer added his second of the season with a clever finish to make the score 6-2. The U13s vs Oxford and Bermondsy confident after their first win of the season , couldnt get going, the team were edgy to begin with. the first half had few half chances from shahed, masum, Foyaz and Masum. The second half began much better with shahed hitting the cross bar. but teh team were undone with poor defending and lost 3-0.

U15s.

The U15s went into the game Vs Bengal Utd. U15s leading the league started very poorly, and created very few chances in the first half,and came in at half time a goal down, after a clever free kick from Bengal. Soul Started the second half much brighter and missed a host of chances to equalise, eventually they saw the back of the net but Hafiz was ruled offside, Jakir later equalised with a thumping shot after Bengal messed up in defence, again SOUL missed great chances to go ahead, but were unable to and when they did Yahya was judged offside by the Referee. 2 points dropped for SOUL

SOUL went in the game without Sajid banned and Yahya Away, Although Shakwat made his debut after a long transfer from MIle end. Played Newark in second place, SOUL started slowly, but took the lead after former SOUL Keeper Sayeed fumbled and Fazleh tapped in for SOUL, Newark took the lead with a brilliant goal from newark winger Saiful. SOUL took the lead again after Fazleh finished Neatly from Hassan's Ball, SOUL then took a two goal lead after Hafiz chest the ball down from a corner and cracked a shot to the roof of the net. Newark again came back to finish the half 3-2 to SOUL, the second half saw both teams playing good football, and Fazleh again run onto a ball and brilliantly chipped over the keeper, to hit the bar and come away from the line, the referee ruled the ball had crossed the line, and SOUL were 4-2 ahead, Newark again came back to score, SOUL eventually finished the game off after another goal by Hafiz and Fazleh who scored his fourth of the day, to leave SOUl 5 points ahead of the league.

SOUL U16s

The team played a revived Clichy, and struggled to put them away in the first half, SOUL came in at 0-0, with the team creating very little, the second half saw more frustration although were stepping up the gears and with 10 minute left SOUL fumbled in the ball off a clichy player to lead the game, and in the last minute, Some great play by sabir to glide past two players and whip a low cross for Asrar to finish from the near post.

Star Player: Sabir Ahmed, created the goals when it mattered.

SOUL U17s.

Played Stepney FC, Soul looked confident going into the game, and after some early chances the Captain Raced onto a ball from Shamim to finish with a brilliant volley, later Riaj added a second with a header from a corner. Soul gave stepney hope after poor defending gave a goal away. Rahim scored his first of the season with his right foot, after hard work from Riaj, you might not see another right foot goal from Rahim for years to come.

SOUL FC vs SOUL Youth, SNC league

Both teams were looking to beat their friends on the other side,and everyone hoped for another competitive game. The first half saw little action from both teams, although Sabir was twice denied by Sajid. The second half saw the game open up and Riaj scored after beating a couple of players with an excellent shot to the corner. SOUL Youth began to wake up and after some excellent movement from Raju and Sabir, saw Altaf get on the end of a super ball from Raju. the game will be remembered for a scuffle between Helal and Rahim, both got into a silly argument, which affected the SOUL FC team, couple of minutes after SOUL youth took the lead again after some good work from Raju saw Kamran on his own at the back post to tap home the winner, Kamran had come on for Altaf 5 minutes before. and scored his first of the season;

Star Player: Abdullah, won everything in midfield.

SOUL FC CREATE HISTORY

The senior team created a bit of history last Sunday as the first team from the 2nd division to have reached the ILFL cup semi Final. The team had to beat BYM from the premier division. one of the most established clubs in the league, and with an array of Sporting Bengal players. Soul started with their usual 4-5-1 Formation.

The team started really brightly, and were creating opportunities, but BYM looked very dangerous on the attack. After Missing a couple of half chances, soul broke through, but Norul’s Usual tap in was this time considered off side by the ref. after 5 minutes a long throw by Norul, found Nazmul unmarked in the box and he finished to give Soul the lead. The team attacked more and Shued was creating havoc as usual on the wing, and after a dazzling run, finished past the giant BYM 6 ft 5 keeper from a tight angle. Soul should have added a third after some brilliant work from Nazmul, Levinio lost his footing and shoot the air for a simple tap in. The team came in at half time with a 2-0 lead, the opposition had no idea how to stop the brilliant Levinio in the middle, who was dominating or how to beat the SOUL defence lead by the experienced Azmol and Asif who were orchestrating the attacks and how to get away from The chopper Mizanur’s hard tackles

The second half started with BYM shooting just over, but soul steeled themselves and started to create more chances, Couple of half chances fell to Salam, Norul and Michael who had come on for Shued. Nazmul then skipped past the BYM defence and hit a super shot only to be matched by a full stretch save from the BYM keeper. BYM then scored from a free kick to pile the pressure with 10 minutes left, and BYM hitting corners, with their keeper coming onto attack the Soul defence, Soul had pressure on them, No one wanted to mark the Big BYM giant, But a stroke of luck and a hand of “God “or Maradona saw Levinio clear from a corner which the Referee missed. Straight after that BYM equalized to take the game into penalties.

The penalty shoot out saw Capatain Nazmul and the youngest player on the pitch go in goal for SOUL.

BYM scored the first, then Nazmul slotted past to equalize, BYM then scored again and Taj Stepped out to coolly finish to equalize. The Third penalty from BYM saw an excellent save from Nazmul, and Levinio put soul ahead with a super penalty, Nazmul saved again brilliantly to give SOUL the edge, Syeduz Kamaly then stepped up for the winning penalty, with a crowd watching and the giant BYM keeper, Syeduz held his nerve to put SOUL into the semi finals.

SNC 9th Annual Awards Ceremony held

The Sports Network Council celebrated its 9th annual awards ceremony. The Sports network council based in Tower Hamlets
caters for the sporting and health needs of the local community. One of the major projects of the council is organizing football
leagues for the local youth football clubs The Chair Abdul Mukith Chunu MBE opened the ceremony saying "The youth in

the community need to be protected by offering lessons through sports". Amongst the guests on the day Councillor Denise Jones who is the leader of the Tower Hamlets council was the chief guest on the occasion. In her speech she said that the SNC is a credit to the Tower Hamlets community in helping reach out to the youth. Abdal Ullah, Councillor Abdul Asad and Deputy Mayor Shaid Ali were also present in the ceremony.

Representatives of the sponsors of the league were also present on the occasion. Clifton group, Kushiara finances and Eastend homes are sponsoring the league. Chairman of Eastend homes Bernard Cameron donated a cheque of 500 pounds to the Sports Network Council. A number of awards were given away on the day. Bricklane based SOUL Football club walked off with stack of awards collecting 7 team awards, where they won the league for 2006-7 for the U14s and U16s. Sajid Miah from SOUL FC collected 11 awards including the player of the year for 2006-07 and got a massive reception from the audience. Ruman Hussain collected the U16s player of the year for 2006-07. BYM and Mile end Utd collected awards for the summer league by winning the U16s and U14s respectively. Bangla Mirror

Excellent week for soul fc

The U16s, (09-01-08)

U16s, came back from 2-0 down in the first half to draw 2-2 vs BYM, soul went down 2-0 to the second placed team, who were 2 points down, after the half time team talk, SOUL looked a complete different team,and looked to win the game. SOUL went on the attack and after sustained pressure, got a penalty which Raju dispatched nicely, Soul again went on the attack and after a swinging free kick from Helal, Altaf headed the ball home to equalise. Soul should have won the game, but two misses from top scorer Sabir ended a miserable week for the striker. Soul are still top of the league. Man of the Match : Raju, looked very busy and creating cahnces all the time

The U17s, (09-01-08)

The U17s, who had only won 1 game this season, started the new year brightly with a 4-1 thrashing of Mile end. Soul opened the scoring after Norul somehow managed to lop the keeper on his line. his second of the season. Soul stepped up the pressure in the second half, and when Sergio came on for his debut he scored his goal with his first touch with a sublime finish. Captain Riaj Uddin added a third with a neat finish, and Shamim headed in his first for the club.Man of the match : shah Fakhrul, won everything in defence

The U15s, (09-01-08)

The U15s, who have had Sajid Miah the captain banned from playing after fighting in last years cup final started the new year in usual rampaging style against the old enemy elite youth. soul went 3-0 up in the first half after gaols from Fazleha nd Hafiz, and a stunner from Hassan. second half was even better, Dilwar and Hafiz were playing exceptionally well in the left. Hafiz completed his first hat trick for the club, and Yahya added his usual two goals, fazleh added another to make the score 8-0. man of the match: Hafiz, looked a different class today.

The senior team (09-01-08)

The senior team, went into this game,needing a win for their promotion hopes, Soul started brightly and were looking too create chances, Norul Amin opened the coring with his 8th of the season, and Shuhed scored his first of the season. the second half was even better, Robin hood were getting very frustrated, and soul took advantage, SOUl were very dominant, especially Levinio in midfield, he was winning everything and looked a different class. Soul added a third through shuhed,and a fourth from Taj. Shuhed went off after an injury but came back on looking for his hat trick, there was excellent performances by the defence,and syeduz kamaly who gave a strong performance in midfield. The team looked very good, and hopefully they can keep it up to win promotion. man of the match: Levinio Jamal, a different class, controlled the midfield through out the game

Senior team, Played in the ILFL cup

Senior team, Played in the ILFL cup and faced tough opposition ACE who they had not beaten in 7 attempts. SOUL started very poorly and conceded a soft goal in the 10th minute. SOUL slowly got back in the game and equalised through Nazmul Khan. Norul Amin then won a penalty which Levinio Jamal Tucked away neatly, Ruhel Ahmed added a screamer from 20 yards. The second half saw pressure from ACE and they got a goal back to make it 3-2, after ACE had struck the cross bar, SOUL countered quickly and Norul Amin scored at the end, ACE came back afterwards to score another for an edgy finish. iT was a brilliant team effort to see the game through.

U17s won their first game

the u17s won their first game this season in the league, after 3 straight defeats the team were looking to bounce back and faced strong opposition in ALhuda. Soul started strongly and took the lead through Norul Malik after some neat passing from Riaj and Shamim.Alieu Joe added a second in the second half, ALhuda stole a goal in the last 10 minutes, but th eu17s finished strongly with 10 men fort heir first win.

The U16s who are top of the league faced MUL,

The U16s who are top of the league faced MUL, who were going well in the league, the first half was tense and both teams could have taken the league, SOUL played some excellent football in the second half, and took the lead through Star striker Sabir Ahmed,who scored his 5th of the season, Sabir should have had a hat trick in the game but wasted chances late on.

U15s. Played Swanlea FC in rainy conditions.

SOUL took the lead through Hafizul Haque and the team ended the first half 4 goals up after goals from Jakir, yahya and a brilliant finish by stand in captain Fahad. second half started slowley SOUL struck twice through an excellent 30 yard strike from jakir Hussain and a wonderful chip from Yahya Ali. Soul are now top of the league, with Soul youth going strongly as well, there are very exciting times ahead.

Senior Team Results

SOUL FC 7-East One 4, first time SOUl have beaten East one with goals from Nazmul Ahmed x3, Salam, Syeduz, Altaf and Paul. An excellent performance from Nazmul who captained the team from a strikers position and scored a fantastic hat trick. Well done to Altaf Hussain who scored for the senior team, following on from the successes of Riaj who has adapted very well to the senior team by scoring 3 goals in 4 games, as well as Rahim who scored on his debut for the senior team. Taraque and Sajid have also appeared this season for the senior team with some super performances.

Norul Amin leads the goal scoring with 7 goals.

U13s.

SOUL junior team have been improving every week in the East london essex League, they have come close to winning games, but lack the final push, results were

an excellent goal from Naseer uddin, who took on two players and a super shot to the top corner from 20 yards, naseers first goal was worth waiting for .

The SOUL Senior team

inished the BFA summer league on third spot, it was an exceptional season, well done to Daniel Smith who finished the season with 13 goals, and some memorbale goals they were to as well. the senior team have began their Winter season after forfeiting the first game, we bounced back to beat Robin Hodd FC 4-2, with a brace from Levinio Jamal.
